The Chipware Labs is the first and only chip design team in Kocaeli University consist of total more than 25 member including main 6 member: 1 team consultant, 1 team mentor and 4 undergraduate engineering student aims to attend various competitions such as TEKNOFEST Chip Design Competiton.

Chipware Labs; has made it their goal to pioneer the field of chip design and production, first in our province and country, and then international.

A Strategic Move: Importance of Chip Design

Chip production is the most important technological breakthrough in the world today. In order to produce Turkish-origin chips, priority should be given to R&D and design development because R&D plays a very important role in the development of semiconductor and microelectronic technology.

National Security

As technology becomes increasingly integral to defense systems, telecommunications, and infrastructure, relying on foreign-made chips creates vulnerabilities. Domestically designed and produced chips ensure that sensitive information remains secure and reduces the risk of sabotage or espionage embedded in foreign-manufactured semiconductors.

In a world where semiconductors are the backbone of every electronic system, disruptions in global logistics, political sanctions or global shortages can severely hamper industries ranging from automotive to consumer electronics. VERILOG / VHDL
